PACLOCK's2177S is machined in the U.S. from 304 stainless steel, making the 2177S a killer padlock with superior weatherability and strength! All the benefits of a traditional, hardened steel PACLOCK hockey-puck, but with one amazing feature ~ a cone shaped front! Every other hockey-puck on the planet is flat on the front. The Cone puck was conceived and engineered specifically to thwart any type of frontal drilling attack. The cone is especially effective when the puck is situated in a recessed housing that forces the attacker to use longer length drill bits. The 2177S has special tapped holes on the back allowing the user to affix this padlock directly to a gate, a door, or anything that swings open. Mounting this padlock to the hasp means no more lost padlocks because the operator forgot about it! Its flat-back design is better suited for any shrouded hasps that typically stepped-back padlocks are used.
